Turn Your Family Business into a Business Family

Family Business Center

More than 30 Years of Family Business Excellence

The St. Thomas Family Business Center is the leader in family business education, connection and support. Our learning community is built of family businesses, for family businesses. Whether you're in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa or anywhere else, part of the St. Thomas alumni or have never been to campus, we'll serve your needs.

Our programming helps families find their right conversations, based on their own history, values, dynamics and goals for the future. The Family Business Center creates an environment where these conversations can be held, with attendees surrounded by other family businesses... who get it. And may have some wisdom to share.

Whether its succession planning, generational dynamics, leadership transition or something else keeping you up at night, our center and its ever-growing number of family businesses, is the community that can walk alongside your family and business.

If you're stuck and want to discuss your family business, call the center. If you need a good advisor, call the center for that too. If you want to see if we're the right fit, call the center. We'd love to have you join our community and learn the important conversations that will carry your family legacy into its next generation.

    Community Engagement

The Family Business Center is dedicated to engaging families who have not had access to family business education, whether it be in out-state Minnesota or communities in our backyard. Through focused efforts, beginning in 2021, the center is partnering with local business support agencies including Meda, MMGSA, NDC, NEON and UROC to host multiple Black family business events and in 2023 started a three-year pilot program to engage family businesses on St.Paul's East Side through a charitable gift of The McNeely Foundation.
